The YTVA01A vibrating wire strain gauge is constructed from 304 stainless steel. The total length of the instrument is 154mm. The sealed end blocks at both ends have an outer diameter of 20mm and a length of 3.5mm; the protection tube (strain rod) has an outer diameter of 8mm and a length of 145mm; the coil protective shell has an outer diameter of 22mm and a length of 45mm. The default extended length of the instrument cable at the factory is 3m. The cable features a grounded double-protective-sheath, twisted-pair shielded polyurethane design, with resistance to mechanical wear and interference.

Working Principle
Based on the vibrating wire principle, the vibrating wire sensor is composed of a force - bearing elastic deformation housing, a steel wire, left and right fixed ends (clamps that fix both ends of the steel wire), excitation (to make the steel wire obtain a certain form and magnitude of vibration for frequency monitoring), a receiving coil (the coil refers to a wire winding wrapped in a ring shape), and other components. The frequency of the vibrating wire is related to the magnitude of string tension (the force between internal parts of an object exerted by stretched flexible objects such as steel wires and ropes). After the geometric dimensions of the vibrating wire (the structure and size of the product) are determined, the variation in the vibration frequency of the vibrating wire can characterize the magnitude of strain after deformation of the measured structure.
