The YTMH01 weir flow meter is suitable for long-term measurement of water level in weir tanks such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and dam bodies. It is an effective monitoring device for monitoring water level and flow changes. Its working principle utilizes the magnetostrictive effect, which determines the flow rate by measuring the distance between the sensor and the liquid level. The weir flow meter uses our self-developed magnetostrictive sensor for liquid level measurement, featuring advantages such as high resolution, good stability, reliable performance, and fast response. It is a non-contact continuous measurement method, not prone to wear, and the sensor output signal is RS485 digital quantity. It has the functions of simple and convenient installation, long working life, and simultaneously measures the temperature at the buried point.

The measurement principle of the weir flow meter is to calculate water flow by utilizing the water level changes formed when water flows through weir dams of specific shapes. Generally speaking, the weir flow meter is fixed in rivers or canals. When water flows through the weir dam, it causes water level changes, and the device records these changes and time. Then, by processing these data, the water flow can be calculated. This method is mainly realized by measuring water level differences, with two flow measurement methods: the static water level method and the dynamic water level method. The static water level method refers to installing a water level meter respectively upstream and downstream of the weir, and calculating water flow by measuring the height difference between the two water levels. This method is suitable for situations with small water flow and slow water level changes, with high accuracy. The dynamic water level method, on the other hand, involves installing a water level meter downstream of the weir dam, recording time and water level changes, and then calculating water flow based on these data.
